Has it really been five days since I blogged? I think that's the longest I've gone since I started this blog, except for when we moved the last time.
It's been a nice week around here. We've been unpacking and getting settled into our new place and a new routine. We got our federal tax refund, so we've been able to pay some bills and take care of some things that we've been worried about, so everything has been more relaxed than usual. It is amazing how different life can be when there are not financial worries looming over our heads.
My hubby surprised me with a special present this week, a Cricut Expressions machine. I have been away from my scrapbooking for a while now, both the paper and the digital and I really miss it. When I told him how much I wanted to get back into the paper scrapping he was very encouraging and took me shopping to give me a jump start. The Expression was a total surprise though, I was not expecting that at all! I've been working on finishing Aspen's baby book, and it's been so much fun to immerse myself in her baby pictures. I can't get over the difference in her then and now.
I've been deliberately trying not to spend time online this week and I've been pretty successful at it. I knew I needed to cut back when it affected me so badly not having Internet in January. I realized that it was becoming way too much of an escape for me, and that's not what it should be. My goal now is to spend less than 30 minutes online per day, and to make sure that my chores are done and everything that needs my attention is taken care of first. Most days this week that has translated to no time online at all, which is okay. The Lord has been working with me on priorities lately, and things are much improved around here because of that. I can easily give up time spent online for greater harmony in my home.
I had another OB appointment this week and everything is looking good with our wee one. I will be 18 weeks tomorrow, and March 13 is the big day when we have our ultrasound and (hopefully) find our whether we are having a boy or a girl. I'm really excited to know so we can officially start preparing. We have earmarked our state tax refund to purchase baby gear, and I can't wait to know whether we need to buy pink or blue clothes.
Have a great weekend everyone!
