Abbyisms, part 3

It's been my habit over the last few years to keep a record of cute little things that Aspen and Abby have said as their language has developed. We call these uniquely her phrases and statements their "Aspenisms" and "Abbyisms". You can read more about these adorable moments for Aspen here and here. Abby's previous posts are here and here.

I'm well over due for an update on this for Abby. Her language really has blossomed in the last several months and she comes out with adorable stuff daily. A few of our favorites are:

"Diedo" This means Caillou, her favorite preschool show.

"Meow" Her term for cat, and also the name of her favorite stuffed animal, a little black and white cat.

"Ta cha" Gotcha!

"Me Did It"

"Taintu" Thank you

"Me tared" I'm scared, usually of the dark.

"Me high" She wants to swing, or go fast.

"Munny" This usually means bunny, another of her favorite stuffed animals.

"Barburst" Starbursts, her favorite candy.

"Wow" and "Whoa" Expressions she uses with glee or delight when she's surprised and excited.

Her use of the word "me" is slowly giving way to the proper usage of "I". "Me did it" is becoming "I did it." This makes me a little sad in a way, since it's just another sign that the baby is disappearing, and the little girl is replacing her.

Stay tuned for another update soon.
